2.7) ACCORDO DI COOPERAZIONE SCIENTIFICA TRA L'UNIVERSITA' DI ROMA "TOR VERGATA" E L'UNIVERSITA' DI LIÈGI

Si sottopone all'attenzione del Senato Accademico proposta di accordo bilateale di cooperazione di tra l'Università di Roma "Tor Vergata" e l'Università di Liègi
Il Responsabile Scientifico, Prof. Furio Camillo Rosati, associato di Scienza delle Finanze presso il Dipartimento di Economia e Istituzioni, sottolinea lo specifico settore del programma di cooperazione, "Public Economics" e Quantitative Economics" - tra il suo Dipartimento e l'Università belga.
Il Consiglio della Facoltà di Economia, nella seduta del 24.2.1999, ha espresso parere favorevole.
Terminata l'esposizione il Presidente dichiara aperta la discussione.

- visto l'art. n.13, comma 3, lett. m), dello Statuto dell'Università degli Studi di Roma "Tor Vergata";

- parere favorevole alla stipula dell'accordo bilaterale di cooperazione tra l'Università di Roma Tor Vergata e l'Università di Liègi.

AGREEMENT OF CULTURAL AND DIRECT SCIENTIFIC COLLABORATION BETWEEN THE UNIVERSITY OF ROME "TOR VERGATA" AND UNIVERSITY OF LIÈGE

The University of Rome "Tor Vergata", represented by the Rector Prof. Alessandro Finazzi Agrò, authorized by the Senato Accademico on to stipulate the present agreement, and the University of Liège represented by the Rector Prof. Willy Legros, considering that the development of a cultural and direct scientific collaboration would be of mutual advantage to both Universities and wishing to strengthen such a collaboration, agree to the following.
Article 1: Research collaboration in the fields of:
- Public Economics
- Quantitative Economics
will be activated.
Such a collaboration will be effected on terms of equality and of reciprocal advantage, allowing the possibility of defining other research areas by mutual consent, in view, however of the possibilities available as well as of the experience acquired by the scholars of the Universities.

Article 2 : In order to achieve the aims under Article 1 collaboration may be effected as follows:
a) exchange of visit by experts;
b) exchange of information, documentation and scientific publications;
c) study meetings, seminars and courses on subject matters foreseen by the agreement.

Article 3 : For the realization of points outlined in article 2 the reciprocal exchange of scientific staff for a maximum of 14 days of presence and a maximum of 3 experts per year is foreseen.
Usually, travel and "mission" expenses are to be met by the University which employs the visiting experts according to its legislation, while average expenses food and lodging could be met by the host University.
For the staff engaged in teaching, remuneration to be determined according to reciprocity.
The exchange of experts - number indicated above - is based on reciprocity.

Article 4 : The terms and duration of the collaboration as under Article 2 and the necessary data, will be communicated to the host University two months before the planned starting date of the visit.

Article 5 : Each scholar involved in the agreement is personally responsible to apply for a personal medical coverage and insurance assistance during the period spent abroad.

Article 6 : The agreement will be subjected to the approval of the competent offices and will come into force upon its stipulation.
The Rector of the University of Rome "Tor Vergata", the Rector of University of Liègi, are charged with ascertaining the approval by the competent authorities.

Article 7 : The present agreement will remain valid for 3 years. It may be renewed for same period upon request of one of the parties forwarded to the other party at least three months before expiry.
The total cost for each party involved must not exced respectively the ammount that will be decided by the parties involved.

Article 8 : The present convention will be registered only if actually enacted as such.

Article 9 : The conventions falling under this present decree foresee the resolution of possible controversies concerning the interpretation and the carrying out of the conventions signed by an Arbitration Board consisting of a member designated by each contracting party and by one chosed together.
Drawn up in Rome in two original copies in Italian and in English both being textually identical.
