PhD in Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine

This Research Doctorate, which is opened to physician and lasts three years, has the internationalization of didactics as peculiar characteristic. Although it is held in Rome (Italy), it is going to be taken in English, while the didactics is carried out by teaching Physician, Biomedical Engineers and Physicists, all of them members of prestigious Foreign and Italian Universities.
There will also be facilitation to receive foreign graduate people from the European Community and from countries outside the European Community in order to foster and to conform the scientific knowledge and exchange, on Rehabilitation field.
Such guidelines are given for preparing PhD in innovative tools and technologies in order to be competitive both in Europe and in the World.
The treated topics will deal with technological innovations in Rehabilitation Medicine, which are essential for the recovery of people with disability.
The following thematic areas will be deepened:
Diagnostic Area: Functional MRI; Muscular Evaluation, sEMG, Electrodiagnosis, Motion Analysis, stabilometric and baropodometric evaluation, hardening work.
Therapeutic Area: Physical therapy, overactivity syndrome treatment; ultrasound guided intrarticular injection; orthosis and prosthetics; occupational therapy.
Assistive Technology Area: Domotics, Industrial Medicine,.
It is becoming ever more important to create a link between the scientific and the technological world, involving Rehabilitation as a priority target.
We could work to form and develop human resources, who will be able to manage such scientific and technological tools in order to create an impact and a visibility in the research International field.
