SUMMER COURSES IN ITALIAN LANGUAGE
AND CULTURE FOR FOREIGN STUDENTS

COURSES:
  • I period: 13th June – 25th June 2005
  • II period: 27th June – 9th July 2005
  • III period: 11th July – 23rd July 2005
  • IV period: 25th July – 6th August 2005
FEES:
  • 1 course selected ( 2 weeks) 650 Euro
  • 2 courses selected (4 weeks) 1.100,00 Euro
  • 3 courses selected (6 weeks) 1.500,00 Euro
  • 4 courses selected (8 weeks) 1.800,00 Euro

QUALIFICATIONS: The courses are available for foreign students with an intermediate oral and written level of Italian knowledge (B1 of the European Framework) which are enrolled in any University.

REGISTRATION: The participants have to send the application form available on the page http://www.lettere.uniroma2.it/corsiestivi/iscrizione.htm and the receipt of the deposit paid by an international transfer before the 30th March 2005, to allow the faculty to organise the classes. In the application form you must specify your personal details and other information:

  • Educational qualification: Students have to specify the latest educational qualification (school-leaving certificate or degree certificate).
  • Attending University : Students have to specify the name and the year according to registration at their own University).
  • Italian knowledge: Students have to specify the number of years that have been studying Italian (at University or self studying).
  • Time of the course: Students can choose a programme for minimum of 2 weeks or more consecutive programmes for maximum 8 weeks.
  • Programmes: Students can choose one or more of the following programmes: Archaeology, Art ad History, Visual Arts of the XX ad XXI century, Culture and Territory
    It is important to specify the type of the course and the period and add a second period option. The Faculty will organise classes of maximum 25 students, and will use the second option in case of exceeding with the number of students.

    THE COURSES: Courses will be divided in two parts; the first part will take place at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”, and they will be dedicated to a close examination of the Italian language (for students of level B1 ad B2) and of the Italian culture (for students of level C1 ad C2), in the afternoon there will be cultural sightseeing tours in Rome and in the Lazio area.

    CLASSES: Each programme will be activated if there will be at least 15 students. Classes can’t have more than 25 students. Morning classes will have a minimum of 7 students and a maximum of 15 to allow the students to learn and practise correctly the Italian language. The registration will allow the Faculty to organise new classes each time there will be a multiple of 15 for language courses and 25 for the cultural sightseeing tours.

    PROGRAMMES:

    There are four types of programmes:

    1) Archaeology
    2) Art ad History
    3) Visual Arts of the XX ad XXI century*
    4) Culture ad Territory

    *The programme Visual Arts of the XX ad XXI century will be activated only from the 11th July to 23rd of July ad from the 25th of July to 6th August 2005.
