International Basic Science Assessment for Ophthalmologists

A test of knowledge of the Basic Science related to Ophthalmology will be on:

3/4 April 1998

The test will consist of a single

Three hour multiple choice question paper

Consisting of two parts marked separately

Part I

Anatomy

Physiology

Pathology

Pharmacology

Part II

Optics

Refraction

 

 

Then test will be conduced in the candidate's own country

Those who achieve pass standard or above will receive a certificate confirming the standard the standard achieved. This certificate is now accepted as equivalent to the basic science sections of the ophthalmology examinations of several countries.
